"I began to see how I could create images that would not only be decorative but also promote healing and the movement of energies in a beneficial way,” says Black. “Surrounding yourself with positive, life affirming images can help you manifest your goals, dreams and aspirations. Most of the paintings [in my latest series] are done utilizing acrylic paint, ‘prayer’ papers and gold leaf. Gold or gold leaf has been used down through the centuries as a representation of The Divine."
